We ask that our adoptive families send us updates about their new family
members. We also have people asking about a dog that touched them. Read in
this section "Forever Tails"
The Adventures of Candi
candi is
doing great still get a little scared when we come home, working on sitting,
stay and coming when we call her name. I meant to ask you how much you feed her
Hi Glenda and family, My mom tells me I am
going for very long drive on Sat. It will takes us two and half
day to get to my new home. She tells me it will be cold and I
will need a sweater what ever that is. Also there is lots of
room to run in the house and the back yard that might have snow
on it, not sure I will like snow. I want to thank you for all
the care you gave me on my short stay with you and finding my
new parents, I love them very much. I will keep in touch with
you with the help of my mom. We did send a e-mail to Willies new
parents but never heard from them, if you hear how he is doing
please let me know. I am giving mom and dad all kind of love and
keeping them on there toes, Dad says I don't miss a thing. Keep
up your good work with finding new homes for all the them. Have
a great summer, might get down to see you next year if we come
back to Florida.
Will keep in touch and let you know how living in
Illinois
is. Love Candi
PS dad mom says hi also

Cricket goes to Denmark

picture of Cricket on Scandinavia airlines. Asleep in her own
seat in her backpack.
She is one of the
breeders yorkies that we got around Christmas time and she is
now headed to
Denmark for a brief vacation.
We should be so
lucky.
Cricket is the little 4 lb girl we rescued from the breeder along with all
the other yorkies. She travels more than we do, next life I want to be a cute
little fluffy dog.

Pink Floyd- the barking
talking dog

I thought it
might be time for a fresh update on our little man, Pink Floyd.
Can you believe he's now 1 1/2 years old already? He has become
one of the most well adjusted dogs I've ever seen. He has become
a real Daddy's boy (and, I don't mean I'm Ever left out of his
world). In his little/big brain, Bobby rules (you know, Bobby's
the Alpha dog) . We take him everywhere with us; if we go to the
store, one person shops, while the other dog-sits in the car
with him. We got a new car (2005
Toyota Prius) and he loves it. The back seats fold
completely flat, so he's got this huge area to be in and check
everything out. But, as most dogs do, he loves to ride with his
head out of the window, with the wind blowing in his face. He's
so funny.. when the sun is in his face, he squints REALLY hard,
and his nostrils get real big to compensate for the squinty
eyes. Floyd, who loves to see & smell new places. He is,
without a doubt, the most devoted, smart, intuitive dog, who
shows unconditional love every moment of his life to us. He
still does all his silly puppy things (sits like a panda bear on
his lower back, with his feet in the air, and uses his front
paws to spin all around (he can curve his back so much, he looks
like the letter C!) He does this for quite a while, but
eventually will fall over onto his back. Then, he wiggles all
over, making these adorable sounds at the same time. He's always
"talking" with all the totally cute, and constantly different
sounds, that he makes. You can actually see him "think" first,
and then he'll talk. If we ask him to say a simple phrase, he'll
assess it, open & close his mouth several times, then give it
his best shot. A lot of the times, he comes pretty close.
Glenda, we will
never find enough of the right words to "Thank You" for this 15
pound, 10 ounces of one of nature's most beautiful creatures. He
truly has completely changed our lives for a million good
reasons.
We hope you are
well, and again, God bless you for bringing Floyd to us as a
part of our lives. His first Xmas was great. He's the only
family member who got presents from Santa. He deserved every one!
I'm attaching some photos, as well.
Pentunia hits the jackpot
Here is our whole pack just relaxing at home. See how big Oliver is getting!
(and how slim Petunia
continues to get! She just loves her
green beans and green peas!
We are very proud of her!)

Just wanted to let you know Petunia/Butternut
is doing just great. She fits in so well and there have been no problems at all.
She is so sweet and great company and has gotten very active playing in the back
yard and running down to the dock and even wading in the lake. We think she is
already looking slimmer even after just a week! I have learned that she does not
like spray bottles. I was
spraying cleaner on the kitchen counter and she ran out of the room and jumped
in the laundry basket so I will know not to spray her with any
perfume etc in the future that is for sure, but she has been perfect for us when
we give her a bath. We will send you pictures soon!
Take care,
Rachel
