Welcome to S.H.A.R.E.

We started as a dog and cat rescue, and became a retirement home for felines and active rescue for canines. We rescue many different kinds of canines, perhaps one can suit your needs. Please contact us about adopting your new forever friend!

About Us

Safe Haven Animal RescuE of Florida, Inc. has been very active in adoptions of dogs since January of 2010 when the new board took over. We have already adopted out over 100 dogs. SHARE has attended many events since January, raising awareness of the need for foster homes, forever homes, proper care of your animal, the need for spaying or neutering and the importance of Heartworm preventative. We not only raise awareness we also need to raise money for our medical bills which we incur when we rescue animals from abuse or shelters. Most animals rescued from abuse or shelters have skin disorders, need to be spayed or neutered, have fleas, need shots and be dewormed, and in some cases they need to be treated for heartworms. They also need a lot of work adjusting to being in a home and actually eating good food!

In the cool months we have adopt a thons every other weekend to help get our foster dogs into their forever home. We are on news the first Monday of the month and on 106.5 CTQ radio station every other month with one or two of our adoptable dogs. In the summer we try to do an event indoor at least once a month.

We have also helped out with one of the elementary schools for their school beautification. We have sponsored an low cost vaccination clinic for dogs and cats in our area and have worked hand in hand with other rescues, if we have someone looking for a dog we do not have but know of a rescue who does we will call the rescue and vice a versa. It is important to us that we all work well together so one day all animals will be in their forever homes.
